Holiday: Self Care Date

Let’s Begin…

  1. Turn off all of your electronic devices and make sure that you have at least 1.5 hours or more alone on your own.

  2. Take 3 deep slow breaths (making sure to inhale and exhale through your nose).

  3. Read the postcard poem “Holiday”

  4. 15 minute Freewrite: Write fast without censoring, without thinking. and answer the following questions. Who do you long to become? How are you seeking this future self? How is this future self seeking you? Draw a golden path between these conversations. Begin with the line “Dear You….” Write and don’t look back.

  5. I made this Holiday Date playlist just for you. Play it now.

  6. Make this easy Healing Butternut Squash Soup and eat. (There’s enough for leftovers or to share later.) If you can eat near a window, do this.

  7. Give your mochi animal a squeeze

  8. Brew a cup of your Holy Basil/Sweet Rose tea. Steep for 5 - 10 minutes. This is a transcendent ayurvedic tea. Make sure to inhale the aroma of the tea deeply before you drink.

  9. Drink your tea and dream for at least 20 minutes

  10. Take 3 deep slow breaths (making sure to inhale and exhale through your nose) and re-enter your life.
